# Discovering Certificates

The Discover Certificates module in CERTInext is used to identify, track, and monitor SSL/TLS certificates across servers, load balancers, and applications. It provides a centralized view of all discovered certificates, regardless of the Certificate Authority that issued them.

CERTInext uses Bots to perform discovery scans. These scans collect certificate details from configured sources and display the results in the CERTInext portal. This allows teams to understand where certificates are deployed, their current status, and whether any action is required.

The Discover Certificates module supports both simple and complex deployments and helps maintain visibility across the entire certificate inventory.
