Checking a Bot's Status
Bots Dashboard
• The Bots page allows configuration and management of CERTInext Bots used for certificate discovery and provisioning. • Users can create bots, assign scan targets (SSL, HSM, LDAP, File System, etc.) and review performance and discovery results. • Bots become visible after deployment and can be accessed from the Discovery dashboard. • On the Discovery dashboard, selecting Total Bots automatically opens the Bots listing page. • Direct navigation path: Certificates → Discovery → Bots. • The same page also provides the Create Bot option, allowing users to onboard new bots directly from the listing interface.

Bots Table Overview
Each row represents a bot instance with the following essential fields:
• Bot Name: A unique name assigned at creation. Helps distinguish multiple bots across datacenters or cloud environments. • IP Address: The system address where the bot is installed. Useful for mapping scan origin and resolving connectivity issues. • Description: Optional text entered during creation to identify purpose, region or environment. • Status: Indicates if the bot is Active, Inactive, Stopped, Configuration Pending or Failed. Supports direct troubleshooting by highlighting non-running agents. • Last Bot Update: Shows when the bot last communicated with the server or updated configurations. • Bot Version: Displays the installed software build helping admin teams track upgrades. • Purpose: Whether the bot is Discovery-only, Provisioning-only or both Discovery + Provisioning. • Scanning Status: Shows if the bot is currently running a scan, idle or paused.
Filters and Search
The bot dashboard includes an on-screen filter interface to quickly locate specific bots.
Filter Options Available:
• Bot Name • Bot Version • Status • Last Bot Update • Created Date • Created By • Purpose • Tags
Users may combine multiple filters such as Status = Active + Purpose = Discovery to isolate only currently operational discovery agents.

Customize Columns View
Users can customize the visible columns in the table to declutter or focus on specific data types.
Default Columns displayed:
• Bot Name • IP Address • Description • Status • Last Bot Update • Bot Version
Additional columns that may be enabled:
• OS • Created Date • Created By • Tags
This customization enables data-focused views depending on whether the goal is auditing, troubleshooting, upgrade tracking or security analysis.

Export Options
The dashboard provides one-click export functionality:
• Export to Excel: Used for compliance reporting, security audits and snapshot records. • Export to PDF: Useful for offline reviews, handover reports or management summaries.
Exports retain column visibility formatting based on customization.

Actions Menu
Each bot row contains a Select Action menu with operational controls.
• View: Displays detailed bot configuration including token, system info, version and scan history. • Run Scan: Triggers an immediate discovery/provisioning scan without waiting for schedule. • Stop Scan: Immediately stops the bot scanning. • Pause Bot: Temporarily disables activity without uninstalling. • Deactivate Bot: Permanently disables bot from the network. • Bot Launch Instructions: Re-opens installation and usage guidance for troubleshooting or redeployment. • Delete Bot: Permanently deletes the bot.
