# Generate CSR (Certificate Signing Request)

The Certificate Signing Request (CSR) contains the public key and certificate attributes required for issuance.

* Uploading an externally generated CSR, or
* Pasting CSR content directly into the form

The CSR is validated by the platform to ensure it matches the selected certificate parameters before proceeding.
